Master Class in Art Writing with American writer and art critic Barry Schwabsky

Art critic Barry Schwabsky will discuss the process of putting together the collection of essays for his upcoming book, Words for Art: Criticism, History, Theory, Practice. This will be followed by an informal Q and A on art writing.

Barry Schwabsky is a writer and editor based in New York. He is the art critic for The Nation and his essays have appeared in Flash ArtArtforum, the London Review of Books and Art in America. His books include The Widening Circle: Con­sequences of Modernism in Contemporary ArtVitamin P: New Perspectives in Painting and several volumes of poetry, the most recent being Book Left Open in the Rain.
